Pol made a drastic decision. He threw his sim card in the bin and completely disconnected his mobile phone from any data.

In this video I want to share a few simple tips that can help you save a lot of time and increase your focus.

Pol is one of my best friends. He is a true entrepreneur that created several businesses. In 1993, he launched an internet business which became very successful. He loves tech and I still remember when he managed to get one of the first iPhone from the US. We were all amazed to see how you could zoom in and out on a photo just using our fingers.

in this video I want to share a few simple tips that can help you save a lot of time and increase your focus.

According to a study by Rescue Time, the average person spends around 3 hours and 15 minutes on their phone each day, with the top 20% of smartphone users spending over 4 and a half hours per day on their devices. That’s a significant amount of time that could be used for more productive or meaningful activities.

This example taught me a valuable lesson about how much time we waste on our phones and how much focus we lose. So, here are a few suggestions:

Eliminate — Get rid of most of the social media apps and all of the nice to use apps. Yes, delete most of your apps. Keep only the ones you really need and limit your use of those as well.

Hide — Turn off most of the notifications, except for SMS and WhatsApp, and keep them on silent mode. When you’re working on something, hide your phone.

Have some rules — I have a rule called 88. Every day I put my phone away at 8pm and avoid checking it before 8am the next day.

These simple tips can help you take control of your phone and save you a lot of time and focus.

So, my question to you is, what will you do to avoid your mobile phone ruling your life?

If you are wondering, after three weeks Pol had to reconnect his mobile phone. Not because he wanted to, but because his wife made him do it. All the people who wanted to reach out to him couldn’t anymore, so they ended up calling his wife to get in touch with him. She was not happy…
