Bonjour. In this video, I want to suggest one simple habit that people should adopt especially during this pandemic.

Like many people, I am at working from home. This is nothing new for me as I have been working from home for years, but I am sure this has come as a big change for many people. I’ve heard that that there has been an increase in the number of people watching Netflix, and the number of hours watching tv per week have significantly risen.

Let me be clear, I have nothing against Netflix. They offer a great service for a reasonable fee, and I do enjoy from time to time watching a movie or a tv series. I also completely understand the need to relax during these stressful times.

But there is one thing we shouldn’t give up on: learning.

Many people view learning as something we do at school and at university. However once formal education has finished some people believe there is no longer a need to continue learning. I love the quote from Gandhi:

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

So let me ask you this question: what do you do every day in the way of learning?

What is your daily learning habit? Make it simple and time specific. For me it is every morning. I wake up at 5.45, meditate and then dedicate 30 to 40mn to learn, either reading a great book, listening to a talk or doing an online training.

Recently I did an interview with Kristina Karlsson. Kristina is the founder of kikki.K, an award winning retailer offering stylish gifts, stationery and functional organizing tools in Scandinavian designs.

She is big fan of learning and changing peoples’ lives. Two years ago, she decided to launch a podcast called ‘Your Dream Life’ interviewing thought leaders exploring the incredible impact dreaming has had on their lives. I was honored to be interviewed recently by Kristina.

So here is a suggestion: everyday, block 20mn to learn something new. Why not start by listening to one of Kristina’s podcasts?

This is a Work smarter Live Better tip. Have a great day.

A bientôt
